ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EClips Energy Technologies, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: ECET - News) announced today the initiation of a final series of tests for its PATI (Pure Air Technology) system prototype developed by EET over the past two years.
The Company anticipates that these tests will prove that the PATI system produces 'sterile' air, devoid of any biological or chemical contaminants. This technology would meet the fast-growing demand for improved air quality and go beyond the increasingly stringent regulatory mandates for pure air and a healthy environment.
The final tests will be carried out in a 56-seat passenger coach, provided by Greyhound Lines, Inc. of Dallas TX, at EET's Research & Development facility in St. Petersburg. In addition to testing the efficiency of the PATI system in eliminating biological and chemical contaminants, the test regime, which will be witnessed by Greyhound engineers, will evaluate the killing power of the PATI system for insects, particularly cockroaches. Pure Air Control Systems, Inc., (PACS) of Clearwater, FL, an EPA and NOISH-accredited environmental testing company, will independently monitor the tests.
"We have every confidence in the effectiveness of the PATI system to kill cockroaches and other bugs," said EClips Energy Technologies' CEO, Mr. Ben Croxton. "We have empirical evidence that has been independently confirmed in practical testing, showing that our system eliminates bacteria, viruses, microbes, spores, yeasts, molds, mildews, hydrocarbons and human odors. The PATI system can produce 'sterile' air in which all contaminants have been completely removed."
Several tests of the PATI system have been performed in passenger coaches, kindly made available to EET by the Martz Group, during the first four months of this year. Results from each test showed that human odors, irritant fumes, and both airborne and ingrained contaminants in the seating fabrics and surfaces of the coaches were removed by the PATI treatment, leaving them in almost brand new condition. In the most recent test on a passenger coach, a 'before and after' monitoring of the air inside the coach was made by PACS and confirmed previous findings.
The PATI system was initially specified by NASA for long term space flights. EET acquired the pending patents two years ago from the University of Florida and has developed a number of commercial applications for the industrial, transportation and domestic sectors. The final tests, scheduled for mid-May 2009, will complete the assessment of the PATI unit's sterilizing power and enable the company to specify pre-production prototypes for manufacture.
